In March we were joined once again by two Sports Management Students from Brighton University for their 300 hour work placement and they had an opportunity to learn every aspect of managing a sports club. We enjoyed having them and they both joined in the spirit of the club and were an asset, we wish them well in their future careers.
Also in March we held, for the very first time, a 24 hour Bowl-a-thon and raised £4600 for the local charity Children With Cancer Fund – Polegate.
As members of Disability Bowls England our aim is to work towards being a preferred club to host County and National Disabled Bowls Matches and during the Eastbourne Festival for Accessible Sports we promoted our club and the work we are doing for disability access and inclusion by displaying examples of equipment to aid people with a disability to play bowls.
